Paramount+’s upcoming spy thriller “The Agency” just got even colder with the addition of Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction). Wright joins the cast alongside Michael Fassbender, filming is underway in London.
“The Agency” is an American adaptation of the popular French series “Le Bureau” and dives into the high-stakes world of international espionage. Michael Fassbender stars as Martian, a seasoned CIA operative forced to abandon his deep cover life and return to London. There, he must confront a past love and a compromised identity, all while navigating the treacherous world of spies and secrets.

Wright takes on the role of Henry, the London Station’s Director of Operations and mentor to Fassbender’s character, Martian.
Fans of Wright and Clooney (Syriana) will be excited to see them reunite, as Clooney is an executive producer on the series.
“Jeffrey Wright doesn’t just portray characters – he inhabits them completely,” said Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios. “We are thrilled to have him join this incredible team.”
The team behind the scenes is equally impressive. Director Joe Wright will helm the first two episodes, while writing duo Jez and John-Henry Butterworth (Spectre) craft the story. Clooney and Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures round out the team, bringing “Le Bureau’s” captivating world to American viewers.
With Wright’s recent Oscar nomination and his upcoming role in “The Last of Us” season 2, “The Agency” is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of spy thrillers. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new Paramount+ series.
