Welsh actress Jessica Sula, fresh off a standout performance as LaToya Jackson in the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic Michael, has been set as a series regular in The Interrogator, Fox’s upcoming drama series starring Stephen Fry.
Sula joins previously announced series regulars Jenna Elfman, Luke Kleintank and Michael Beach in the 12-episode straight-to-series order, which is slated for the 2026-27 season. The series hails from Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment.
About the Series
The Interrogator centers on former MI6 agent Conrad Henry (Fry) and his elite team. When conventional methods have failed, Henry’s quirky charm, superior intellect and mind-bending behavioral maneuvers make him the only man capable of lockpicking the minds of the world’s most dangerous criminals.
Sula to play Astrid, Henry’s daughter who is a criminal psychologist described as sharp, funny and idealistic. Though a novice to the spy game, Astrid proves to be a natural — and for good reason. She is the somewhat estranged daughter of Conrad Henry (Fry), and it becomes clear she inherited her father’s uncanny ability to read people, as well as his gift for guile. As the show puts it, she could have been a successful con artist. A master shapeshifter and skilled manipulator, Astrid uses those formidable powers exclusively for good.
Beach will play Louis, the first and arguably most essential member of Henry’s elite unit — and far more than tech support. A dry-witted, steady presence with a layered past, Louis handles AV, IT and real-time intel while doubling as a handyman with skills ranging from electronics to explosives. Most crucially, he serves as Henry’s anchor: best friend, confidant and moral compass, bound together by a shared history in which they quite literally saved each other’s lives.
Kleintank will play Voss, a former Special Forces operative and Army whistleblower with a strong moral code. A quiet Colorado farm boy who prefers dogs to people, Voss harbors an unlikely clandestine romance with fellow team member Florence — one that can only stay secret for so long. Elfman will play Henry’s boss and handler.
A High-Powered Creative Team
The pilot script was written by Fry himself, with revisions from Matt Pyken and William Harper, whose contribution was considered key in securing the greenlight. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie serve as executive producers and showrunners. Fry stars and executive produces alongside Harper and Paul McGuigan, who will also direct. Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman and Miriam Mintz, Matt Pyken, Neil Burger and Anonymous Content also serve as executive producers. The Interrogator is produced by Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment.
