Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Vanessa Bell Calloway, and Katt Williams join Keke Palmer and SZA in their upcoming buddy comedy film.
Produced by Issa Rae under TriStar Pictures, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, Patrick Cage, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Maude Apatow will also star. The untitled project is helmed by “Rap Sh!t” director Lawrence Lamont and written by Syreeta Singleton.
Originating from Sony Pictures’ CoCre lab, this film is cloaked in secrecy regarding its plot details. The collaboration between ColorCreative and Sony aims to nurture diverse screenwriters, providing them the platform to develop and write their first studio feature based on original ideas.
