Kerrice Brooks and Silvia Dionicio Join Daniels’ Untitled Universal Film Opposite Matt Damon

The Oscar-winning filmmaking duo Daniels has added Kerrice Brooks and Silvia Dionicio to its untitled Universal event film, Deadline has learned exclusively.

The two join previously announced cast members Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton and Sean Kaufman, as well as fellow newcomers Jackson Kelly and Thalia Dudek. While Damon leads the film, sources say the younger ensemble will have equal footing opposite the Oscar winner, with Kaufman serving as the lead of that group. Plot details and all character descriptions remain under wraps.

Dionicio is best known for her role as Mark Ruffalo’s adopted daughter in HBO’s lauded series “Task.” She will next appear in Netflix’s YA drama “Poser,” with additional credits including “Chicago P.D.,” “FBI: Most Wanted” and “Wu-Tang: An American Saga.”

Brooks counts Megan Park’s breakout feature “My Old Ass” and “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” on Paramount+ among her credits.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert will direct from their own script and produce alongside Jonathan Wang through their company Playgrounds, which holds an overall deal with Universal. The film is set for release November 19, 2027, moved from an earlier date of June 12. Production is expected to begin in Los Angeles this summer.
