Loretta Devine, Louis Gossett, Jr. to Star in Kingdom Business Season 2

Loretta Devine, Louis Gossett Jr, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Chandler Moore have joined the cast of “Kingdom Business” season two.

The show, which was recently renewed by BET plus explores the gospel music industry through the themes of family, faith, love, and music.

The above join returning casts Yolanda Adams, Serayah, Kiandra Richardson, Tamar Braxton, and La’Myia Good. The cast also includes Chaundre A. Hall-Broomfield, Michael Jai White, Aspen Kennedy, and Tyler K. Whitley.

The series follows gospel superstar Denita (Adams), who runs Kingdom Records and acts as First Lady of First Kingdom Church, and a young woman named Rbel (Serayah) whose past as an exotic dancer threatens to turn the gospel world upside down with her new-found voice.

Devine and Gossett, Jr. will recur as Denita Jordan’s parents, Darlene and Jeremiah.

Kingdom Business is executive produced by DeVon Franklin, Holly Carter, Kirk Franklin, and Michael Van Dyck.

John Sakmar and Kerry Lenhart penned the series and also executive produce with Carter, founder of Relevé Entertainment; DeVon Franklin, CEO of Franklin Entertainment; Kirk Franklin, multi-Grammy-award-winner and Chairman & CEO of Fo Yo Soul Entertainment, who also serves as the show’s executive music producer; and Michael Van Dyck, founder of Inspired Entertainment. The series is produced by DAELight Media.

Production is underway in Atlanta
