Kinnedy “ScribeCash” Storay Sets Five-Project Slate Throughout 2026 With Brely Evans, Darrin Henson and Apryl Jones

Independent filmmaker Kinnedy “ScribeCash” Storay is moving through 2026 with a five-title slate that spans psychological thrillers, relationship dramas, and serialized crime storytelling, with several recognizable names attached across both completed releases and projects currently in production. The lineup includes Brely Evans, Darrin Henson, Apryl Jones, Fredro Starr, and others across film and television projects designed for a streaming-first rollout strategy.

The slate reflects a continued focus on contained, character-driven narratives—projects built around limited locations, ensemble dynamics, and high-conflict emotional arcs—allowing for faster production cycles and flexible distribution across digital platforms. Several of the titles are already completed or in post-production, while others are actively filming through mid-2026.

The 2026 slate includes:

“Home Invasion”
A contained psychological thriller centered on a home break-in that escalates into a tense standoff between the intruders and those inside the house. The film leans into suspense and shifting power dynamics within a confined setting. It stars Darrin Henson, Apryl Jones, Brely Evans, and Fredro Starr. The project is currently available on Apple TV, with a Tubi release scheduled for April 27.

“The Weight of Silence”
A psychological drama centered on postpartum trauma and emotional isolation, exploring how internal mental health struggles impact identity, relationships, and perception of reality. The cast includes Lyrica Anderson, Tacarra Williams, and Jizzxious Bishop, with Storay also stepping into a leading role. The film is positioned as one of the more personal entries in the slate, focusing on internalized grief and the psychological weight of motherhood.

“Ride or Die” (Season 1)
A serialized crime drama following a group of women bound together after a violent incident forces them into survival mode and tests the limits of loyalty, trust, and consequence. The ensemble includes Christina Cooper, Victoria Cox, Keturah Cerrone, Ashley Clarice, Veon Selman, and Jamaal Lewis, with a guest appearance from Oshea Russell. The series leans into moral ambiguity and fractured alliances as the characters navigate escalating stakes.

“Homewrecker”
A relationship-driven psychological thriller centered on obsession, emotional manipulation, and betrayal within a marriage pushed to its breaking point. Storay directs and stars opposite Dion Rome. The film explores how unresolved trust issues and external interference can destabilize even seemingly secure relationships. Principal photography is set to wrap at the end of April, with additional cast announcements expected.

“The Killer Counselor”
A psychological thriller centered on a therapist whose unconventional methods blur the line between healing and harm, raising questions about ethics, control, and influence within patient relationships. Brely Evans leads the project, with Storay directing and co-producing alongside Evans. The film is scheduled to wrap production by the end of June, with additional casting still to be announced.

Together, the projects reflect a focus on contained, character-driven storytelling, with multiple productions either completed or underway as part of Storay’s 2026 slate.
