Written and directed by James Sunshine, the film tells the story of a corrupt senator who arranges the assassination of his unpredictable stepdaughter, only for her to unexpectedly discover she’s a natural-born killer. The absurdist action flick takes inspiration from online debates around the “Mary Sue” trope, flipping the concept on its head in a dark, satirical narrative.
Produced by Larry Layfield for Arck Productions, Jonathan Sachar for Morningstar Films, Patrick Durham, and Dave Lugo, Killing Mary Sue is a high-energy ride packed with chaos and clever twists. Executive producers include Rosy Sultana and Abdul Bhuiyan.
