Sonequa Martin-Green and Mike Colter Among 5 Cast in Fox’s Anthology Series ‘Accused’ Season 2

Fox’s crime procedural Accused is gearing up for an intense second season, with a fresh slate of stars joining the cast. Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery) and Mike Colter (Luke Cage) are among the latest names confirmed, alongside Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country), Sherri Saum (The Fosters), and Kiara Barnes (Fantasy Island).

In the upcoming season, Martin-Green and Colter will headline the season finale titled “Megan’s Story,” portraying Megan and John. The episode will revolve around a music executive, Megan, whose marriage faces turmoil after a seductive figure threatens to tear it apart. Barnes will also appear as Eve in this tense finale.

Chung is set to star in the episode titled “Eugene’s Story,” where she plays Grace, opposite Ken Jeong, who portrays a well-meaning jewelry store owner whose wife’s hidden past causes unforeseen chaos. Meanwhile, Saum will appear as Erica in “Justin’s Story,” focusing on a wrestling coach who faces trial after pushing his star athlete to the breaking point.

The new additions will join actors previously announced for Accused Season 2. Returning favorites include Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives), Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), and William H. Macy (Shameless). Justin Chambers (Grey’s Anatomy), Danny Pino (Law & Order: SVU), and Nick Cannon (The Masked Singer) are also among the featured cast. Michael Chiklis, who both starred in and directed episodes of Season 1, will continue to play dual roles as an actor and director this season.

Accused is adapted for American television by Howard Gordon (24, Homeland), who also serves as an executive producer alongside Alex Gansa, David Shore, Erin Gunn, and Daniel Pearle. Milan Cheylov, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, and Jacob Cohen-Holmes of All3Media America are also on the producing team.

Each episode of Accused focuses on a different crime and defendant, offering viewers a thrilling, fast-paced look at the justice system through the eyes of those accused. Season 2 premieres on October 8, with a new batch of stories exploring moral dilemmas and courtroom drama.

Another highlight this season is Jerrika Hinton (Grey’s Anatomy), who stars in “Marcus’ Story” alongside Patrick J. Adams. In this episode, Nick Cannon portrays Marcus, a tech entrepreneur whose revolutionary software leads to dangerous consequences. Hinton plays Lycia, adding depth to this complex tale of innovation gone awry.

Following the success of its debut season, which averaged 8 million viewers per episode, Accused continues to stand out for its unique, character-driven approach to crime and punishment. Season 1 featured an array of talent, including Abigail Breslin, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and Rhea Perlman. Fans can expect more gripping performances and unexpected twists in the upcoming season.

Season 2 of Accused debuts on October 8 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox, with audiences eagerly awaiting more stories of crime, justice, and redemption.
