Elliot Stabler is back, and this time, the fight is personal. Law & Order: Organized Crime returns for its fifth season, moving exclusively to Peacock on april 17. And if the new trailer is any indication, Stabler is about to be pushed to his limits—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The upcoming season finds Stabler (Christopher Meloni) facing off against a crime family with a long memory and a deep grudge. The official synopsis teases cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a deadly vendetta stemming from his past in Rome. As the stakes rise, Stabler is forced to risk everything—his career, his safety, and the people he loves—to protect the innocent and deliver justice.

His mother, played by the iconic Ellen Burstyn, is well aware of the cost. In one of the trailer’s most gut-wrenching moments, she warns her son from his hospital bed: “Do not make me bury you.” The message is clear—Stabler is walking a fine line, and this time, he might not make it out unscathed.

Returning for season five are Danielle Moné Truitt as Sgt. Ayanna Bell, leading the Organized Crime Control Bureau; Rick Gonzalez as undercover expert Bobby Reyes; and Ainsley Seiger as the ever-resourceful tech genius Jet Slootmaekers. Joining them is Dean Norris, stepping in as Stabler’s brother, Randall, a man who may be the only person capable of keeping Stabler’s family out of harm’s way.

This season also brings fresh faces into the mix, including Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Olivia Thirlby, and Jason Patric, each playing characters that will complicate Stabler’s already chaotic world. With longtime Law & Order architect Dick Wolf at the helm, alongside executive producers Christopher Meloni, Matt Olmstead, John Shiban, and Mike Slovis, the season is shaping up to be one of the most intense yet.

The move to Peacock marks a major shift for the Law & Order franchise. Organized Crime becomes the first series in the universe to transition away from NBC since Criminal Intent jumped to USA Network in 2007. But rest assured—the drama, the action, and the high-stakes storytelling are all making the move with it.

To drive the anticipation home, Peacock has unveiled a new promo poster featuring the bold tagline: “In Stabler We Trust.” If the past four seasons have proven anything, it’s that Stabler doesn’t back down from a fight.

Law & Order: Organized Crime returns april 17 on Peacock. Buckle up—this season is about to go full throttle.
