Leslie Grossman is heading to South Jamaica, Queens.

The actress has joined the recurring cast of Power Book III: Raising Kanan for its upcoming fifth and final season, stepping into the role of Florence “Flossie” Siegel — a woman whose elegance masks serious underworld credentials.

Flossie is described as Manhattan’s most prolific madam, living a polished and luxurious life. But beneath that shine, she’s the daughter of a Jewish mobster, making her tough, calculating, and always thinking three steps ahead.

The casting adds another powerful presence to a season already expected to tighten the bridge between the prequel and the larger Power universe.

Where We Left Off

Season 4 ended with shockwaves.

After years of manipulation, secrets, and shifting loyalties, Kanan Stark (played by Curtis Jackson in the original series and by Mekai Curtis in the prequel) made a devastating choice. Convinced his mother Raq was responsible for the deaths of people closest to him, he pulled the trigger. The screen cut to black, leaving her fate hanging in the balance.

That finale also reintroduced a key figure: Breeze, portrayed by Shameik Moore. His arrival begins laying important groundwork for the mythology longtime viewers know will shape Kanan’s future.

When the show returns, answers are finally coming — especially about whether Raq survived and what that means for the next chapter of Kanan’s transformation.

About the Final Season

The fifth installment is expected to push Kanan further toward the ruthless persona audiences met in the original Power, while also setting up threads that will continue into the next spinoff centered on the rise of Ghost and Tommy.

Behind the scenes, the franchise remains in the hands of heavy hitters, including original Power architect Courtney A. Kemp, alongside G-Unit Film & Television and Lionsgate Television.

About Grossman

Grossman is widely recognized for her long-running collaboration with Ryan Murphy on American Horror Story, where she’s delivered scene-stealing performances across multiple installments. Many also know her from Hulu’s Love, Victor, plus an extensive résumé that spans comedy and drama alike.

Now, she steps into one of television’s most dangerous worlds — and if Flossie is anything like she sounds, she won’t be someone Kanan can afford to underestimate.
