Lex Scott Davis to Star in Ricky Stanicky for Prime Video

Lex Scott Davis, William H. Macy, Anja Savcic, and Andrew Santino are the latest to join the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming film, Ricky Stanicky. They join previously cast Jermaine Fowler, Zac Efron, and John Cena in the fictional friendship comedy. The film is set to be available on Prime Video and has recently acquired the global rights.

Ricky Stanicky is an upcoming comedy about three friends who invent a character to get out of tricky situations. However, when their significant others become suspicious, they have to hire an actor to play their fictional friend.

The film is currently in production in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The details of their roles in the film remain unknown at this time.

The film is directed by Peter Farrelly, who has a long history of creating successful comedies, including “Dumb and Dumber” and “Shallow Hal.” He also directed “Kingpin”, “Hall Pass” and “There’s Something About Mary”. The script, written by Farrelly, Brian Jarvis and James L. Freeman, is based on an original spec by Jeff Bushnell, with a rewrite by Steve Oedekerk. The production of the film is led by Footloose Productions and Rocket Science, in association with Smart Entertainment.

Davis is known for starring in Universal’s The First Purge, the prequel feature for the Purge franchise. On the small screen, she was last seen opposite Katey Sagal in ABC’s Rebel. Davis can be seen in the Mo McRae-directed A Lot of Nothing, in theaters now, and up next in the Netflix series, Florida Man.

Fowler has made a name for himself in the comedy world and has had a number of successful performances on both the big screen and television. He starred in Hulu’s comedy “The Drop” and can be seen alongside Dakota Johnson in the comedy “Am I Okay”. He also had a breakout role in the Prime Video hit film “Coming 2 America” and will be appearing in Lionsgate’s “The Blackening”.
