Lifetime is dialing up the suspense this spring with two new original thrillers—Taken at a Basketball Game and Wife Stalker—set to premiere in March. The films boast a strong cast, including D.B. ‘Taken at a Basketball Game’ – Premiering Saturday, March 15, at 8/7c
D.B. Woodside (Lucifer, The Night Agent) and Claire Qute (Overcompensating, The Detail) lead this intense drama inspired by real events. The film follows a father’s desperate search for his teenage daughter after she vanishes during a basketball game. Moni Ogunsuyi also stars in the film.
Logline: Wayne Edwards (Woodside) is trying to rebuild his relationship with his estranged 18-year-old daughter, Robyn (Qute), so he takes her to a basketball game for what should be a night of bonding. But when Robyn steps away to use the restroom and never returns, his worst fear comes true—she’s been kidnapped. With thousands of people in the arena and the clock ticking, Wayne stops at nothing to find her before it’s too late.

Keshia Knight Pulliam reunites with director Elisabeth Röhm (Girl in the Basement) for Wife Stalker, a thriller based on the novel The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine. Starring real-life couple Grace and Trai Byers, the film follows a woman fighting to uncover the dark secrets of the woman who’s taken her husband—and protect her family before it’s too late.
Logline: Joanna (Pulliam) and Leo (Trai Byers) have the picture-perfect life—two kids, Evie (Alayna Bernard) and Aaron (AJ Bernard), and a beautiful home. But their marriage begins to unravel when Piper (Grace Byers), the charismatic owner of a wellness center, moves to town and sets her sights on Leo. As Leo falls under Piper’s spell, Joanna starts digging into her past and discovers something chilling—Piper’s previous two husbands mysteriously turned up dead. Now, she must find the proof she needs before her family becomes Piper’s next victims.
