Comedian and actor Lil Duval is taking his horror-comedy Camp Duval: Ain’t Nobody Dying Today on the road before it hits theaters. Swirl Films and Lil Duval have announced a six-city interactive premiere tour ahead of the film’s limited theatrical release in AMC theaters beginning September 24, with a VOD release on Apple TV and Amazon Prime arriving in time for Halloween.
The film follows Lil Duval as he purchases a rundown former summer camp and invites a group of fellow comics for a weekend comedy retreat. What starts as a chance to sharpen their stand-up routines quickly turns into a chaotic fight for survival when a vengeful ghost begins picking off comedians in absurdly ironic ways, forcing Duval and his crew to uncover the camp’s dark past and save themselves through the power of comedy.
The film stars Lil Duval, JaySki, Just Brittany, Erica Duchess, Nod Ross and MoneyBags Mafia, with Tyler Chronicles and Navv Greene.
The premiere tour kicks off in Lil Duval’s hometown of Jacksonville, Florida on September 10 at Cinemark Tinseltown, before heading to Tampa’s Sun-Ray Cinema (Sept. 17), Premiere Cinemas in Birmingham (Sept. 24), Belcourt Theatre in Nashville (Oct. 8), Belair Luxury Cinema in Detroit (Oct. 15) and closing with an official red carpet premiere at Atlanta’s Tara Theatre (Oct. 29). Each stop will feature red carpet arrivals, meet-and-greets, live music and immersive activations.
