Lucien Laviscount has joined Daisy Ridley in the upcoming action-thriller The Good Samaritan. Directed by Pierre Morel from an original screenplay by Matthew Ian Cirulnick, production for the project is set to begin this fall.
The story follows Dr. Rosalind Carver (Ridley), a successful entrepreneur, and her husband Matt (Laviscount) after they rescue a wounded man drifting off the coast of Indonesia, unknowingly pulling themselves into a deadly conspiracy. Within hours, their yacht disappears and Matt is abducted by a ruthless pirate gang led by Langbore (Sharlto Copley), turning paradise into a trap. Imprisoned by corrupt officials, Rosalind crosses paths with Sean Fuller (Josh Duhamel), a battle-hardened ex-mercenary with his own score to settle with the pirates. The two form an uneasy alliance, racing to save Matt and expose a global trafficking operation that kills anyone who threatens to expose it.
