Casting for his daughter hasn’t been announced.
Rick Alvarez for Ugly Baby Productions and Nathan Reimann will also produce. Wadlow will exec produce.
Wayans has a history with Halloween comedy. The comedian/actor along with his brothers Keenen Ivory-Wayans and Shawn Wayans developed the scary movie-spoof franchise Scary Movie. It is comprised of five parody films and have collectively grossed over $896 million worldwide at the box-office. The franchise was developed by The Wayans Brothers: Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans, who wrote and directed the first two films, with the latter two also starring. The films were produced by Dimension Films and distributed by two different studios: Miramax Films, and The Weinstein Company.
The untitled Halloween comedy movie continues Wayans’ relationship with the streamer. His 2017 comedy Namked and 2019 Sextuplets were both Netflix productions. Currently Wayans has switched from comedy to drama as he is starring in the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect, which is currently in theaters.
