Marque Richardson is heading to Montana. The Unprisoned and Dear White People star has joined the Season 2 cast of CBS’s Marshals, the Yellowstone spinoff centered on Kayce Dutton, in a recurring role as Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns. Production on Season 2 began in Park City, Utah in June and the show is set to return with new episodes this fall.
Richardson is best known for his role as Reggie Green in Netflix’s Dear White People and as a series regular on Hulu’s Unprisoned opposite Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo. His other credits include Genius: Aretha for Nat Geo, Antebellum for Lionsgate, Tell Me Your Secrets on TNT and the Emmy-nominated All the Way for HBO. He was also featured in a documentary on Netflix.
Also joining Season 2 is Morgan Lindholm, who will return in an expanded role as Maddie, the bartender at the local watering hole Bullet ‘N Barrel and Cal’s estranged daughter. Lindholm is known for Truth or Dare and Leverage: Redemption.
Confirmed returning cast members include lead Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Tatanka Means as Miles Kittle and Ash Santos as Andrea Cruz. The Season 1 finale ended on a major cliffhanger with two fellow Marshals, Pete Calvin and Belle Skinner, in imminent danger, leaving their return unconfirmed.
Marshals follows Kayce Dutton as he joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Season 1 averaged 20.4 million multiplatform viewers across its first eight episodes.
