New Edition’s Ricky Bell also executive produces the project, which stars Amy Correa Bell and Alexander Piñeiro
Meagan Good is stepping further behind the camera. She is set to direct and executive produce 15 Minutes of Fame, a new comedy-drama series, alongside Ricky Bell, member of New Edition and lead vocalist of Bell Biv DeVoe, who also serves as executive producer. The series stars Amy Correa Bell and Alexander Piñeiro, who created the project and serve as co-directors.
Set in Los Angeles, 15 Minutes of Fame follows Tony and Jackie, two directionless Latino roommates struggling to survive adulthood under mounting financial pressure. After learning their rent is being raised, the pair embark on a reckless night out that inspires an impulsive plan: fake a movie and see who shows up. What begins as a joke spirals into something far more real, unexpectedly cracking open a door to Hollywood. As the line between fraud and opportunity blurs, the series explores ambition, identity, friendship, and the pursuit of purpose in an industry built on illusion.
“I’m ecstatic to bring 15 Minutes of Fame to audiences at an unprecedented time in history, when not only representation, but authentic and entertaining stories are so very needed,” Good told Deadline. “And to be able to do this alongside family and tremendous talents such as Amy Correa Bell, Alexander Piñeiro, and Ricky Bell makes this endeavor and collaboration purpose work.”
Bell added, “What excites me most about 15 Minutes of Fame is that it’s being told through an authentic lens. It’s a wild ride through identity, family, and ambition. Amy Correa Bell and Alexander Piñeiro have brought their vision, heritage, and lived experiences to the screen in a way that feels fresh, honest, and deeply relatable, and getting to build it alongside my longtime friend Meagan Good makes it even more meaningful. This is the kind of storytelling that shines a light on our community and moves the culture forward.”
Beyond 15 Minutes of Fame, Good has a full plate ahead. She stars in and executive produces Girl Dad, a feature directed by Solvan “Slick” Naim and produced by Jamie Foxx and Marsai Martin, which had its world premiere at the 2026 American Black Film Festival where it won Best Screenplay and Best Performance. She is also attached to star in Rocky Top College, an upcoming basketball drama directed by Jamal Hill alongside Jabari Banks and Bailee Madison. On the television side, she joins Hulu’s Reasonable Doubt as a series regular in Season 4, playing Regina Harris, a sharp new district attorney entering the orbit of high-powered defense attorney Jax Stewart.
