Max’s “And Just Like That…” has announced key cast additions for its third season. Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake, and Logan Marshall-Green have joined the series in recurring roles, bringing new elements to the storyline.
Brooks, known for his roles in “Law & Order” and “Mortal Kombat,” Cake from “Desperate Housewives,” and Marshall-Green of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” fame, are set to bring new dynamics to the show. Their specific characters are yet to be revealed, but their inclusion teases intriguing developments for the storyline.
In addition to these new faces, Sebastiano Pigazzi and Dolly Wells have been promoted to series regulars. Pigazzi reprises his role as Giuseppe, Anthony’s (Mario Cantone) romantic interest introduced in Season 2. Wells returns as Joy, a character who developed a connection with Miranda (Cynthia Nixon).
Filming for Season 3 is currently underway in New York City, where the main cast, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, continues to navigate life, love, and friendship in their 50s. Returning cast members also include Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, Alexa Swinton, and John Corbett.
However, not all familiar faces will return. Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace, will not be part of the upcoming season due to scheduling conflicts with her roles in “The Morning Show” and the new Netflix series “Forever.” Sara Ramirez, whose character Che Diaz became a central figure in Miranda’s storyline, is also exiting the show. According to Nixon, the character’s arc had run its course, marking the end of an era for Miranda and Che.
The series, developed by Michael Patrick King and executive produced by King, Parker, Davis, Nixon, Julie Rottenberg, and Elisa Zuritsky, continues to build on the legacy of HBO’s “Sex and the City,” created by Darren Star and based on Candace Bushnell’s book.
As production progresses, fans can look forward to new adventures, complex relationships, and the ever-evolving lives of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte in the vibrant backdrop of New York City.
