Michael B. Jordan Reveals Another ‘Creed’ Spinoff Series Centered on Amara Creed

Michael B. Jordan just confirmed that the Creed universe is expanding once again — and this next chapter puts the spotlight on the next generation. In a new interview with Variety, Jordan revealed that Prime Video has officially picked up a television series centered on Adonis Creed’s daughter, Amara, marking the first on-screen project to follow the young fighter’s journey.

“We’re spinning off doing Adonis’s daughter, Amara’s story, the television show that’s picked up at Amazon. So you’ll be seeing different parts of the Creed-verse, I like to call it. These little IPs are going to keep the universe alive without it being completely reliant on just me to push it through the finish line every time as a boxer. I’ll be adjacent.”

Amara Creed Becomes the Franchise’s First Female Lead

Across nearly 50 years of Rocky and Creed storytelling, every chapter has revolved around male fighters and legacy lines. Amara Creed changes that.

Introduced in Creed III and played by Mila Davis-Kent, the character instantly connected with audiences — not only as Adonis’ daughter, but as a young, deaf girl who carries the Creed spirit in her own way.

Giving Amara her own series marks a major evolution in how the franchise sees legacy. Instead of continuing the father-son lineage, the story now opens space for themes around identity, womanhood in a male-dominated sport, and the emotional weight of inheriting a dynasty. It’s a move that modernizes the franchise while honoring its roots.

Amara Already Has a Proven Storyline

This won’t be Amara’s first time leading a narrative. In 2023, BOOM! Studios released Creed: The Next Round, a four-issue comic series spotlighting an older Amara as she trains, struggles, and fights to build a name of her own. The comic established her ambition and complexity — all elements perfectly suited for a series adaptation.

Her success on the page makes the transition to television feel like a natural next step.

What This Means for ‘Creed 4’

Jordan also confirmed that Creed 4 is still on the horizon — “eventually, definitely” — but production timing depends on his schedule. With his reimagined The Thomas Crown Affair set for 2027, a fourth Creed film wouldn’t land until 2028 at the earliest.

That’s where these spinoffs become essential. They allow the franchise to grow without forcing Jordan back into the ring every few years. As he put it, these projects let him stay involved but “adjacent.”

The Future of the Creed Universe

What began as a legacy sequel has now transformed into a full cinematic universe.

Earlier this year, we reported that Prime Video had already greenlit Delphi, a drama set inside the iconic Delphi Boxing Academy — the historic gym tied to Apollo Creed’s longtime trainer Tony “Duke” Evers and now overseen by his son, Tony “Little Duke” Evers. Executive produced by Jordan and showrunner Marco Ramirez, Delphi follows a new generation of fighters battling to make their mark.

With Delphi in development and the Amara Creed series officially moving forward, Amazon is building out multiple lanes of the Creed-verse simultaneously — each expanding the world beyond Adonis and tapping into new characters, new stories, and new emotional territory.

For the first time, the future of the Creed franchise will be led by a young Black girl — and this next era is shaping up to be the boldest yet.
