Michael B. Jordan’s production company, Outlier Society, is teaming up with Amazon MGM Studios to develop the high-octane action thriller, ‘T-Minus.’ The script is co-written by Drew Pearce, known for ‘Fall Guy,’ and Nick Cuse, recognized for his work on ‘Watchmen’ and ‘Station Eleven.’

Producing the film are Michael B. Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo from Outlier Society, along with Pearce through his Point of No Return Films banner and Isa Dick Hackett from Electric Shepherd Productions.

“T-Minus” originated from Pearce’s Point of No Return Films, where it was initially set to be developed. Elizabeth Raposo from Outlier Society recognized the potential of the pitch—a blend of action-thriller elements akin to “Top Gun” meets “Back to the Future,” infused with a Philip K. Dick twist—and deemed it a perfect fit for Outlier’s vision, envisioning it as an elevated project with significant blockbuster potential.

While specific plot details remain shrouded in secrecy, “T-Minus” draws inspiration from Philip K. Dick’s acclaimed sci-fi short story, “A Little Something for Us Tempunauts,” penned in 1974. The narrative unfolds around tempunauts, or time travelers, dispatched only a few days into the future instead of the intended century. Trapped in a fatal time loop, they grapple with the haunting consequences of their journeys, contemplating a daring escape.

Joining the production are Sarah Scougal and Kalen Egan from Electric Shepherd, with Christina Raquel overseeing for Outlier Society. Ian Fisher and Christopher Tricarico will serve as executive producers for Point of No Return Films and Electric Shepherd, respectively.

Both Outlier Society and Electric Shepherd have first-look deals with Amazon MGM Studios, positioning “T-Minus” as a project with significant potential in the industry.
