Michael Jai White, Method Man, Mike Epps, Orlando Jones, La La Anthony, and Gillian White are set to headline the action-comedy film, “Trouble Man!”
White, who also directs the film, plays Jaxen, a former cop turned private detective in Atlanta. When R&B singer Jahari goes missing, Jaxen is hired to find and save her, uncovering a larger conspiracy in the process. The film recently wrapped production under the Georgia Production Program.
The Trouble Man! script, co-written by White and Michael Stradford, was produced by Craig Baumgarten for Samuel Goldwyn Films. The film, slated for release next year, marks another collaboration between White and the production company.
White, known for his work in “Black Dynamite” and BET+’s “Kingdom Business,” expressed his excitement for “Trouble Man,” aiming to bring new life to the Urban Action Comedy genre.
Samuel Goldwyn Films CEO Ben Feingold looks forward to expanding their relationship with White and delivering “Trouble Man” to audiences in the second half of next year.
Represented by various agencies, including Wonder Street for White, CAA and manager Shauna Garr for Method Man, AEFH and CMA Entertainment for Gillian White, Independent Artist Group and others for the remaining cast, the film promises a blend of action and comedy for fans to enjoy.
