Moses Ingram has joined Idris Elba and the ensemble cast of Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming Netflix film. The actress, known for her standout roles in ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ and ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi,’ will also be sharing the screen with Rebecca Ferguson, Jared Harris, Greta Lee, Gabriel Basso, and Tracy Letts.
Although Netflix remains tight-lipped about the film’s title and plot, insiders suggest that the story will be set against the backdrop of the White House during a national crisis. This marks Bigelow’s highly anticipated return to feature filmmaking, her first since the 2017 critically acclaimed thriller ‘Detroit.’
Tracy Letts, fresh off his Emmy-nominated portrayal of Coach Jack McKinney in HBO’s ‘Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,’ has also been confirmed as part of the cast. Letts has a busy schedule ahead, with upcoming appearances in Peacock’s ‘Mr. Throwback’ alongside Stephen Curry and FX’s ‘The Sensitive Kind’ with Ethan Hawke and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
Ingram continues to build her impressive résumé, with her latest work in Apple TV+’s limited series ‘Lady in the Lake’ opposite Natalie Portman. Audiences can also look forward to seeing her in Neon’s upcoming musical ‘The End,’ directed by Joshua Oppenheimer, where she will star alongside Tilda Swinton, Michael Shannon, and George MacKay.
Kathryn Bigelow, who made history as the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director with her 2009 film ‘The Hurt Locker,’ is set to direct this Netflix project, further solidifying her status as one of Hollywood’s leading filmmakers.
