Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is bringing more heat to the screen, this time executive producing Moses The Black, a gritty gangland drama set in modern-day Chicago. The film, inspired by the redemption story of the fifth-century saint of the same name, has locked in a powerhouse cast: Omar Epps (Power Book III: Raising Kanan), Grammy-nominated rapper Wiz Khalifa, Quavo (Praise This), and Chukwudi Iwuji (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3).

Epps steps into the role of Malik, a formidable Chicago gang leader at the center of the story, while Khalifa plays 2wo-3ree, the fiery and unpredictable leader of Malik’s younger crew. This marks Khalifa’s second film role and his first as a lead. Quavo takes on the role of Straw, Malik’s longtime rival, and Iwuji embodies the film’s namesake, St. Moses the Black.
Written and directed by Yelena Popovic (Man of God), Moses The Black is produced by Alexandros Potter and Popovic under the Simeon Faith banner. Alongside Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television, Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Films and Epps’ BrooklynWorks Films are also on board as executive producers.
Simeon Faith, the company financing the film, is an equity fund focused on producing and backing films with compelling narratives. Their debut project, Moses The Black, is supported by the Nick Mirkopoulos Cinematic Fund, tied to the Pissios family of Chicago and the Mirkopoulos family of Toronto—former owners of Cinespace Film Studios. Additional executive producers include investment banker John Kynigopoulos, who holds a minority stake in Simeon Entertainment, the production arm of Simeon Faith.
