You can never watch enough movies. The problem is that if you’re looking to stream something new, it’s easy to get swept up in a plethora of projects from white filmmakers over Black filmmakers. Mainly because the history of Black filmmakers has been largely overlooked and underappreciated.

However, in more recent years, Hollywood has started to pay attention to the great works of Black filmmakers and not just when it comes to those telling the story of the Black experience but their talents in general.
