June has arrived and its looking like one of the best months for tv and film so far. There are a lot of great shows returning and premiering, while the movies are holding strong. From the fourth installment to the Bad Boys franchise which should heat up the June box office to the final season of Power Book II: Ghost, there’s something fro everything. Mayor of Kingstown (S3) | Jun 2

Set in a small Michigan town where the only industry remaining are federal, state, and private prisons, the story follows the McClusky family, the power brokers between the police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians, in a city completely dependent on prisons and the prisoners they contain. It is a stark and brutal look at the business of incarceration.

Erased: WW2’s Heroes of Color | Jun 3

WW2’S HEROES OF COLOR uncovers the long-lost legacies of soldiers of color during World War II. This landmark series sheds light on the immense contributions of over eight million individuals who fought heroically for the Allied forces and whose stories have largely gone untold. The four-part series weaves a blend of historical dramatizations with curated archival footage, bridging the past with the present to highlight new perspectives on established histories. Keith Robinson: Different Strokes | Jun 11

The comedian, who has kept people laughing for the last four decades, will continue to use his signature personal and brutally honest approach to this story.

Inside Out 2 | Jun 14

The little voices inside Riley’s head know her inside and out—but next summer, everything changes when Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” introduces a new Emotion: Anxiety. According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” said Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.” A trailer, poster and film stills are now available for what promises to be the feel-good (or feel-everything) film of Summer 2024.
