Myha’la, known for her role as Harper Stern in HBO’s ‘Industry,’ has joined the growing cast of the upcoming horror film They Will Kill You. She will be sharing the screen with Zazie Beetz, Patricia Arquette, Heather Graham, and Tom Felton.
The project will be directed by Kirill Sokolov, who also co-wrote the script with Alex Litvak. ‘They Will Kill You’ follows a woman who answers a help-wanted ad to be a housekeeper in a mysterious New York City high-rise. She doesn’t realize she is entering a community that has seen a number of disappearances over the years.
‘They Will Kill You’ is a New Line-Skydance-Nocturna production, with New Line co-financing and distributing the film. The movie is being produced by Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s Nocturna Pictures, a horror-focused label they launched in collaboration with Skydance earlier this year.
The film’s production team includes David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, the Muschiettis, and Dan Kagan. Executive producers include Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, Kirill Sokolov, Alex Litvak, and Carl Hampe. Ackerman and Schoenfelder also serve as Nocturna’s Co-Heads of Film.
Myha’la has been making waves in the industry, recently starring in the Netflix thriller Leave the World Behind, directed by Sam Esmail and based on the acclaimed novel of the same name. The film, which also featured Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, and Mahershala Ali, was one of the streaming giant’s most-watched titles last year. Additionally, she will appear alongside Lily James in 20th Century’s upcoming film inspired by the story of Bumble and Tinder founder Whitney Wolfe Herd. Myha’la’s other notable credits include starring roles in Sony’s Dumb Money and A24’s Bodies, Bodies, Bodies.
Nocturna Pictures, founded in 2024, aims to produce high-quality horror films for global audiences across theatrical and streaming platforms. The Muschiettis are also currently working on Welcome to Derry, a prequel series for Max that expands the Stephen King IT franchise, which they successfully brought to the big screen with a two-part box office hit grossing $1.17 billion. Additionally, Andy Muschietti has been tapped to direct Batman: Brave and the Bold under their first-look deal with Warner Bros.
They Will Kill You promises to be a thrilling addition to Nocturna’s growing slate of horror films.
