LaKeith Stanfield is in final negotiations to star alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson in the upcoming thriller ‘Die, My Love,’ directed by Lynne Ramsay. The film, based on the novel by Argentine writer Ariana Harwicz, will be Ramsay’s first feature in over seven years. Ramsay co-wrote the screenplay with Enda Walsh.
Set in a remote and forgotten rural area, ‘Die, My Love’ tells the harrowing story of a mother’s struggle with sanity as she battles psychosis.
The film is being produced by Martin Scorsese, Justine Ciarrocchi, and Lawrence through her Excellent Cadaver banner, along with Andrea Calderwood and Black Label Media, which is also financing the project.
Stanfield, who has been one of Hollywood’s busiest stars, was recently seen in Sony and Legendary’s ‘The Book of Clarence’ and Disney’s ‘The Haunted Mansion.’ On television, he starred in and executive produced the Apple TV+ drama ‘The Changeling.’ Although Stanfield’s role in the film has not yet been disclosed, his involvement adds to a growing and diverse filmography. The actor has built a reputation for his standout performances in projects such as ‘Atlanta,’ ‘Sorry to Bother You,’ ‘Judas and the Black Messiah,’ ‘Get Out,’ and ‘Knives Out.’
In 2021, Stanfield earned an Academy Award nomination for his role in ‘Judas and the Black Messiah.’ His upcoming projects include ‘Play Dirty’ alongside Mark Wahlberg, Dermot Mulroney, and Tony Shalhoub, as well as starring in and producing the film adaptation of ‘El Paso, Elsewhere.’ Additionally, he will lend his voice to the documentary ‘Ernest Cole: Lost and Found’ and recently joined the ensemble cast of Bernard Rose’s ‘Lear Rex.’
