TRIGGER WARNING NETFLIX

Jessica Alba is back in the action spotlight with her new film, ‘Trigger Warning’. The actress stars as Parker, a Special Forces commando, in her first feature film role since 2019. Alba also serves as an executive producer on the project.

In ‘Trigger Warning’, Parker returns from active duty overseas after her father’s sudden death. She takes over the family bar and reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, now Sheriff Jesse (Mark Webber), his hot-tempered brother Elvis (Jake Weary), and their powerful father, Senator Swann (Anthony Michael Hall). As she investigates her father’s death, Parker finds herself up against a violent gang causing chaos in her hometown.

Directed by Mouly Surya, the film also stars Tone Bell, Gabriel Basso, Kaiwi Lyman, and Hari Dhillon. The plot combines personal loss, intense action, and a deep conspiracy, pushing Parker to uncover the truth and bring order back to Swann County.

Alba, known for her roles in ‘Dark Angel’, ‘Fantastic Four’, and ‘Sin City’, trained rigorously for the film, incorporating Indonesian knife fighting into the combat scenes. She aimed to make the fighting feel personal and real.

The film resonates deeply with both Alba and Surya, who drew from their own experiences of loss. Alba even used family photos in some scenes, adding authenticity to her portrayal.

The first trailer for ‘Trigger Warning’ teases a high-octane adventure filled with suspense and dramatic confrontations. The film premieres on Netflix on June 21, 2024. Fans can watch the trailer now and prepare for an intense and emotionally charged film.
