Nick Cannon, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy Join Second Season of Fox Anthology Series 'Accused'

Fox announced that Nick Cannon, Felicity Huffman, and William H. Macy will join the cast of the upcoming second season of “Accused.” The series, developed by Howard Gordon and based on the British show created by Jimmy McGovern, delves into crime stories from the defendant’s perspective.

Michael Chiklis, known for his roles in “The Shield” and “Gotham,” is set to return for the new season. Chiklis previously starred in the pilot episode as a frightened dad who had to confront the realities of his troubled son’s behavior. Chiklis went on to direct “Jack’s Story,” another gripping tale from season one that wrestled with the realities of a post-Roe v. Wade world.

Details about the roles of Huffman, Macy, and Cannon have not been disclosed yet.

In its first season, “Accused” received critical acclaim for its unique storytelling and compelling performances, attracting an average of 8 million viewers per episode. The series explores complex themes surrounding crime and justice, offering a fresh perspective on legal dramas. Season 1 also starred Abigail Breslin, Whitney Cummings, Margo Martindale, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Wendell Pierce, Rachel Bilson, Jack Davenport, Molly Parker, Rhea Perlman, Betsy Brandt, Keith Carradine, Aisha Dee and Jason Ritter.

‘Accused’ is from Sony and is co-produced with Fox.
