‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ Season 2 Trailer Drops — Maisie Richardson-Sellers Joins the Chilling Alpine Reset

Hulu just dropped the official trailer for Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2, and Nicole Kidman’s Masha Dmitrichenko is back—and she’s not playing it safe.

Set against the stark beauty of the Austrian Alps, the new season trades in the California serenity of Tranquillum House for a remote wellness retreat that’s far from calming. Masha, once again stepping into the role of unconventional guide, invites nine strangers into an immersive journey that promises transformation—but takes them to the brink.

According to the official logline, the nine guests are “connected in ways they could never imagine,” and as Masha pushes them further into the retreat, the real question becomes: Will they make it through? And will she?

As the trailer opens, a voiceover reveals the group was “chosen under bizarre circumstances,” setting the tone for another layered psychological experiment wrapped in the promise of healing.

Kidman leads a new ensemble cast including Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Henry Golding, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lena Olin, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Mark Strong, and Aras Aydin.

In a now signature welcome, Masha tells her guests, “I invited you all here because sometimes you shouldn’t deal with pain gently.” What follows is a mix of resistance, vulnerability, and confusion. “Wait, this is not a spa?” one guest asks. Christine Baranski’s character cuts in, “She’s going to bleach our brains, darling.”

Season 2 continues the series’ exploration of trauma, connection, and control, using psychedelic therapy as its mechanism. Masha instructs guests to revisit their core memories in a guided attempt to release emotional weight—but as expected, not everything goes as planned.

Nine Perfect Strangers originally debuted in 2021 and was based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name. The series now follows an anthology format, with each season introducing new characters and storylines. David E. Kelley returns as executive producer alongside Bruna Papandrea for Made Up Stories, Nicole Kidman and Per Saari for Blossom Films, and distribution partner Fifth Season. Other EPs include Steve Hutensky, Molly Allen, Rachel Shukert, Jonathan Levine, Matthew Tinker, Anthony Byrne, and JH Butterworth.

The second season premieres May 21 with a two-episode launch, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday until the season finale on July 2.
