Omari Hardwick & Dana Gourrier Join Jaalen Best in Prime Video’s ‘The Greatest’

Prime Video’s highly anticipated Muhammad Ali limited series The Greatest has added two heavyweight names to its cast—Omari Hardwick (Power) and Dana Gourrier (P-Valley). The duo will star alongside previously cast Jaalen Best, who plays the boxing legend himself in the upcoming series from executive producers Michael B. Jordan and Ben Watkins.

The series aims to explore not just the world-famous boxer, but the man behind the gloves—a son, a husband, a father, and an icon whose impact extended far beyond the ring.

The series will cover pivotal moments from Ali’s legendary career and personal life—some well-documented, others lesser known. This is the first authorized scripted series about the boxing icon, featuring exclusive access to his estate, offering a deeper dive into the man behind the legend.

Hardwick steps into the role of Cassius “Cash” Clay Sr., Ali’s father, while Gourrier will portray Odessa “Bird” Clay, his mother.

Produced by Jordan’s Outlier Society, which holds an overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, The Greatest also boasts contributions from Watkins’ Blue Monday Productions, Authentic Studios, Roc Nation, Polygram Entertainment (a Universal Music Group partner), and Grace: A Storytelling Company. Lonnie Ali, Muhammad Ali’s widow, serves as an executive producer, ensuring that the story stays true to his legacy.

Jordan and Watkins are joined by executive producers Elizabeth Raposo (Outlier Society), Corey Salter, Marc Rosen, and Matthew Gross (Authentic Brand Group), along with Roc Nation’s Michele Anthony and Boyd Muir. Co-executive producers include David Blackman for Polygram and Josh Wakely via Grace: A Storytelling Company.

Stay tuned for more updates as The Greatest continues to take shape.
