Paramount+ is officially clearing the runway for SkyMed Season 4, with the returning medical drama set to premiere on May 21 across Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Latin America, Brazil, Australia, and select European territories.
The series, which follows a team of pilots and flight nurses delivering high-risk air ambulance rescues in the remote wilderness of northern Canada, returns with eight new episodes as tensions inside the crew reach new heights.
Season 4 raises the stakes as rookie pilots and medics join the operation—disrupting an already tight-knit team. As leadership strains under pressure, protocol begins to slip, emotions take over, and dangerous missions push everyone to their limits. In the new trailer, the warning is clear: “This isn’t a training flight anymore… it’s an emergency,” as mechanical failure and in-flight chaos set the tone for what’s ahead.

Returning cast members include Natasha Calis, Morgan Holmstrom, Mercedes Morris, Sydney Kuhne, and Aaron Ashmore. New additions to the ensemble include Shawn Ahmed, Leishe Meyboom, Alexander Eling, and Cecilia Lee, with Lauren Lee Smith joining in a recurring role as Captain Riley—a globe-trotting pilot tied to Ashmore’s Wheezer.
Filmed in North Bay, Ontario and Manitoba, SkyMed continues to balance high-intensity rescue missions with personal drama, set against the unforgiving conditions of Canada’s far north. The series is created by Julie Puckrin and produced by Piazza Entertainment in association with Paramount+ and CBS Studios.
Season 4 promises new dynamics, rising tensions, and life-or-death decisions where every flight could be the crew’s last.
