Pictures Animation, under the leadership of President Bill Damaschke, has revealed the voice cast for their upcoming animated feature based on the beloved Dr. Seuss classic, “The Cat in the Hat.” SNL alum Bill Hader will take on the titular role, with a supporting ensemble including Quinta Brunson, Bowen Yang, Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, and Paula Pell.
Scheduled for a global theatrical release on March 6, 2026, this new feature version, directed and written by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, promises to bring fresh energy to the timeless tale. In this adaptation, the mischievous Cat embarks on a heartwarming journey to bring joy to two siblings struggling with their relocation to a new town.

Produced by Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern, with Hader and Susan Brandt, President and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, serving as executive producers, the film marks a collaboration between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises. DNEG Animation will provide their expertise as the animation studio partner.
