Prime Video has officially renewed its hit series Reacher for a fourth season, even though fans will have to wait until 2025 for the third season’s debut. This announcement comes just a week after the streaming platform revealed plans for a Reacher spinoff featuring Maria Sten, who will reprise her popular role as Frances Neagley.

The upcoming spinoff will follow Neagley as she seeks justice after a close friend’s suspicious death. Utilizing her skills from her tenure with the Army’s 110th Special Investigators Unit and the lessons learned from Jack Reacher, Neagley embarks on a mission to uncover a sinister threat.

Reacher season 3 will adapt Lee Child’s seventh novel, Persuader, and will feature Reacher going undercover to rescue an informant from a dangerous adversary from his past. Alongside Alan Ritchson, who plays the titular role, the cast will include Maria Sten, Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters.

The early renewal of Reacher Season 4 reflects Prime Video’s confidence in the series, which has quickly become a fan favorite. Season 2, which premiered on December 15, 2023, achieved record-breaking viewership, surpassing the total audience of the first season by 50% within just three days.

Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed his enthusiasm for the show’s continued success. “Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations. We are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season and look forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind it,” he said.

Reacher is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios. Nick Santora, who serves as the showrunner, along with Child and Ritchson, will continue as executive producers, alongside Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell.
