‘Reacher’ Renewed for Season 5 Ahead of Season 4 Premiere

Prime Video is keeping the momentum going for Reacher, officially renewing the hit action thriller for Season 5 ahead of the show’s fourth season premiere.

Led by Alan Ritchson, the series continues to be one of the streamer’s biggest global successes. According to the streamer, Season 3 pulled in 54.6 million viewers worldwide within its first 19 days on the platform, making it the most-watched returning season on Prime Video since Season 1 of Fallout.

Season 4 will adapt Gone Tomorrow, the 13th novel in Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher book series. The upcoming season follows Reacher after “a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes horribly wrong,” pulling him into a dangerous conspiracy involving powerful enemies.

New cast additions for Season 4 include Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.

“From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, ‘Reacher’ has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios. “The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world.”

The series is written and executive produced by Nick Santora, who also serves as showrunner. Alan Ritchson and Lee Child executive produce alongside Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, Lisa Kussner, Sam Hill, Amy Pocha, and Seth Cohen.

The Season 5 renewal was officially announced during Amazon Prime Video’s upfront presentation on Monday.
