BET+’s Cult Drama ‘Ruthless’ Sets Season 5 Premiere Date [TRAILER]

Tyler Perry Studios’ BET+ Original series ‘Ruthless’ is set to make its return with its fifth season on Thursday, August 8. The new season, comprising nine episodes, will kick off with a double-episode premiere, followed by weekly releases.

The series follows Ruth, played by Melissa L Williams, who finds herself entangled in a dangerous religious cult. As she navigates the treacherous dynamics of the Rakudushis compound, she must play along to find a way to free herself and her daughter. The new season is set to deliver more suspense and drama, with chaos disrupting the already fragile order within the cult.

Joining Melissa L Williams are Matt Cedeno as The Highest, Baadja-Lyne Odums as Marva, Blue Kimble as Andrew, Colin Mccalla as River, Nadege August as Joan, Michelle Nunez as Zane, and Josh Adeyeye as Manny.

Season five will delve deeper into the power struggles at the Rakudushis compound. The Highest, intent on leading his followers to the Raku, faces unexpected challenges as Ruth’s intervention begins to shift the balance of power. Ruth, carrying The Highest’s child, uses her pregnancy to manipulate her way through obstacles, aiming to execute her overall plan. The infiltration of the FBI adds another layer of tension, as the compound prepares for a monumental blood oath wedding. With members turning on each other and hidden agendas surfacing, The Highest calls for a lockdown, trying to reunite everyone with the Raku, setting the stage for surprising revelations.
