William Jackson Harper Joins the Ranks of 'The Morning Show' for Season 4

Apple TV+ has announced that William Jackson Harper is jumping into the chaotic world of ‘The Morning Show’ for its fourth season. Harper will play Ben, the network’s suave and innovative Head of Sports, bringing his unique charm and expertise to the bustling newsroom.

‘The Morning Show,’ starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, delves into the high-stakes world of morning news and the personal lives of those who bring America its early updates. The series has been celebrated for its sharp writing and star-studded ensemble, which also includes Nicole Beharie, Karen Pittman, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Greta Lee, and Jon Hamm.

Season 4 will not only feature Harper but also introduce other notable talents. Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard will join as Celine Dumont, a savvy operator from a storied European family. Jeremy Irons will portray Martin Levy, Alex Levy’s (Aniston) father, and Aaron Pierre will appear in a recurring role as a renowned visual artist.

The show’s previous season ended on a dramatic note, with Alex Levy managing to outmaneuver Paul Marks (Jon Hamm) and halt the sale of UBA to his tech company. As the new season begins, viewers will catch up with Alex and Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon) as they navigate the tumultuous aftermath of these events and the looming network merger, which could result in significant changes at UBA.

Despite Julianna Margulies not returning for Season 4, there are hopes she might appear in future seasons. Production for the upcoming season is currently underway, though a premiere date has yet to be announced.

Harper’s addition to the cast promises to bring fresh energy to ‘The Morning Show.’ Known for his work in ‘The Good Place,’ Harper has also appeared in the Netflix series ‘A Man in Full,’ HBO Max’s ‘Love Life,’ and films such as ‘Midsommar’ and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.’ He is currently starring in Broadway’s ‘Uncle Vanya,’ showcasing his versatility across mediums.

‘The Morning Show’ continues to explore the intricate dynamics of the broadcast news industry, blending personal drama with professional rivalries. With its expanding cast and evolving storylines, Season 4 is set to captivate audiences once again.
