Lifetime dropped the trailer for the sequel to its 2022 hit movie “Single Black Female.” Titled “Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge,” the film is scheduled to air on March 2 at 8 p.m.
Amber Riley, Raven Goodwin, and K. Michelle are reprising their roles with Morgan Alexandria, Christine Horn, and Kendrick Cross joining them for this new installment.

The plot unfolds three years after Monica (Goodwin) narrowly escaped the clutches of her half-sister Simone (Riley), who had murderous intentions. Now in Seattle and hosting the city’s #1 primetime investigative television program, Monica is ready for a fresh start with her best friend Bebe (Michelle) and a new love interest by her side. Meanwhile, Simone, nursed back to health and suffering from amnesia, discovers Monica on TV, triggering a rush of memories and leading to a fateful reunion between the estranged sisters.
“Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge” raises the question of whether the two can put their tumultuous past behind them or if Simone’s desire for revenge will prevail.
“Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge” is produced by Swirl Films for Lifetime. Executive producers include Gold Morgan, Ron Robinson, Abbey Sibucao, and Eric Tomosunas. Directed by Shari Carpenter, the script is written by Sa’Rah Jones and Tessa Scott.
The original, Single Black Female had a successful premiered, garnering over 8 million total viewers and claimed the top spot as the No. 1 original non-holiday movie of 2022.
