‘The Gilded Age’ Season 4 Cast Can’t Wait to Spill the Tea in New Production Teaser Trailer

HBO’s The Gilded Age is back in production for its fourth season, and the cast is not holding back. A new behind-the-scenes teaser has dropped giving fans a first look at what to expect when the Julian Fellowes-created period drama returns this fall.

“I’m actually more excited about this season than I’ve been about any of the seasons,” one cast member says in the teaser. “The stakes continue to heighten and there’s gonna be some consequences.”

The clip teases marital trouble between Bertha and George Russell, more tension between Peggy Scott and her future mother-in-law Elizabeth Kirkland, and a potential reconciliation between Marian Brook and Larry Russell, who ended last season on rocky terms. “Everything Bertha has built is thrust into a very precarious position,” another cast member warns. “There are really startling plot developments.”

As for how they would describe the season in a word, or several, the cast did not disappoint. “Sexy. Ruthless. Juicy. Fabulous. Thrilling. High-octane. Bustle-breaking.” And perhaps most importantly: “Can’t wait to spill the tea.”

The ensemble cast includes Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector, Denée Benton, Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, Kelli O’Hara, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Phylicia Rashad, Leslie Uggams, Bill Camp, Taissa Farmiga, Louisa Jacobson and many more. The creative team includes writer and executive producer Sonja Warfield, with directors and executive producers Michael Engler and Salli Richardson-Whitfield returning alongside executive producers Gareth Neame, David Crockett and Bob Greenblatt.

A premiere date has not yet been announced.
