The Pivot has found its next home. As first reported by Boardroom, Netflix and The Pivot have struck a multi-year partnership, bringing the sports and culture podcast hosted by Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor to the streamer beginning September 8.
New episodes will stream exclusively on Netflix every Tuesday and Friday, while library episodes will also be available on the streamer and remain on YouTube. The deal will also extend to Pivot25 Productions, the company co-founded by Ryan Clark and Alicia Zubikowski with Netflix receiving first negotiation rights on new content the company produced. Pivot25 will also produce exclusive bonus episodes for the platform.
Since launching in 2022, The Pivot has released more than 500 episodes and racked up nearly 1 billion views across YouTube and social platforms, building one of the most engaged audiences in sports media.
“Passion over platform, and people over perception,” Clark said. “I’m grateful and excited to take The Pivot to Netflix. This is the beginning of a beautiful new chapter. The story is far from finished.”
The deal marks Clark’s first major partnership announcement since departing ESPN in July after 11 years amid network-wide layoffs, and signals his vision to grow Pivot25 into a broader multi-platform media company spanning sports, entertainment and culture.
The deal is the latest in Netflix’s growing push into podcast and sports talk programming, following agreements with Barstool Sports, The Ringer and iHeartMedia earlier this year. For Pivot25, it marks the next step in building the brand into a multi-platform media company spanning sports, entertainment and culture.
