First Look: Omar Sy Returns as Assane Diop in ‘Lupin’ Part 4, Arriving October 23 on Netflix

Assane Diop is back. Netflix has released first look images and confirmed that Lupin Part 4 will premiere October 23, with all eight episodes dropping at once. Production has been underway since May.

Omar Sy returns as the suave gentleman thief, three years after Part 3 left Assane behind bars. When we last saw him, Assane had stolen the Black Pearl, earned the support of the French public and faked his own death before saving his estranged mother’s life. Realizing the only way to ensure safety for his wife, son, mother and best friend was to sacrifice himself, he turned himself into the police, ending Part 3 in a prison cell with nothing but a full set of Arsène Lupin books to keep him company.

Joining the cast for Part 4 are Theo Christine (Supacell, SKAM France) and Laika Blanc-Francard (The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon), with details about their roles still under wraps. Returning alongside Sy are Ludivine Sagnier as Claire, Antoine Gouy as Benjamin, Soufiane Guerrab as Guedira and Shirine Boutella as Belkacem.

The season is directed by Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout and Hugo Gelin. Creator George Kay returns alongside Francois Uzan, with Sy and Louis Leterrier serving as co-showrunners. Part 4 is produced under Carrousel Studios, Sy’s banner launched with Leterrier and Thomas Benski, in partnership with Gaumont.

Since its debut, Lupin has become one of Netflix’s most successful international series, with Parts 1 and 2 among the streamer’s top 10 non-English-language series of all time.

Lupin Part 4 premieres October 23 on Netflix.
