The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is heading into its final chapter with a packed guest roster and a holiday surprise. Disney+ has announced 11 guest stars for the fourth and final season of the animated comedy, along with a new stop-motion holiday special titled A Proud Family Wizmas, set to debut on the streamer later this year. The final season premieres Wednesday, July 29, ahead of the original series’ 25th anniversary.
Joining the show for its final run are Mariah Carey, Chloe Bailey, Ali Wong, Romany Malco, Lorraine Toussaint, Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo, Kym Whitley, Dee Nasty, Adele Givens, JB Smoove and Lashana Lynch. They join returning recurring guests Anthony Anderson and Tiffany Haddish.
Season 4 finds the Proud family at a life-changing turning point as Penny Proud is pulled into unexpected adventures that test her courage and identity. The full voice cast returns, including Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker, JoMarie Payton, Cedric the Entertainer, Karen Malina White, Soleil Moon Frye, Alisa Reyes, Carlos Mencia, Alvaro Gutierrez, Raquel Lee Bolleau, Marcus T. Paulk and Melissa De Sousa.
A Proud Family Wizmas is a music-filled stop-motion holiday special featuring six new original songs, produced by Disney Television Animation in partnership with Portland-based stop-motion studio HouseSpecial. Creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar lead the special alongside co-director David Brooks, with Kurt Farquhar returning as songwriter and composer.
The announcement also comes alongside news that Smith and Farquhar have renewed their overall deal with Disney Television Animation for another year under their BaR Productions banner. The fourth and final season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder premieres July 29 on Disney+.
