Azuwa Studios Drops Trailer For Season 2 of Osas Ighodaro's Financial Literacy Dramedy 'The Smart Money Woman'

The second season of The Smart Money Woman, from Azuwa Studios, just released its official trailer—giving us a peek into the next chapter of Zuri and her friend’s journey toward financial independence and self-empowerment. With its October 31st premiere date set, this new season is poised to deliver even more drama, laughs, and money lessons.

Based on the best-selling book by Arese Ugwu, The Smart Money Woman is a financial literacy dramedy that follows a group of stylish, ambitious girlfriends navigating life in Lagos, Nigeria. The series, which first captured audiences with its blend of humor and financial wisdom, is back with more lessons and even bigger goals for its central characters.

Watch the trailer below.

The show stars Osas Ighodaro, who returns as Zuri, along with co-stars Toni Tones, Ini Dima-Okojie, Kemi Lala Akindoju, and Timini Egbuson, among others. The dynamic cast is one of the series’ greatest strengths, with Ighodaro leading the way as a woman determined to secure her bag—one investment at a time. The trailer hints at Zuri facing fresh financial challenges while staying close to her core group of friends: Tami (Dima-Okojie), Adesuwa (Akindoju), and Lara (Tones).

Directed by Wande Thomas and Bunmi Ajakaiye, Season Two features a mix of familiar faces and newcomers, including Nicole Ikot, Oladozie Olawaiye, Shamz Garuba, and Adunolaoluwa Osilowo. It’s co-produced by Arese Ugwu, Isoken Ogiemwonyi, Akintunde ‘Marine’ Marinho, and Kemi Lala Akindoju.

The show’s release schedule follows a weekly drop on Azuwa Studios’ YouTube channel, starting with the first two episodes on October 31st. New episodes will be available every Thursday: Episodes 3 & 4 on November 7th, Episodes 5 & 6 on November 14th, Episodes 7 & 8 on November 21st, and the two-part season finale landing on November 28th.
