Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and Eleventh Hour Films have secured a first-look deal with Hill 5.14 Media, the Black female-led production label founded by Tobi Olujinmi. This partnership grants Eleventh Hour the opportunity to co-develop and co-produce projects from Hill 5.14’s slate, with SPT distributing them globally.
Founded in late 2022, Hill 5.14 Media has swiftly made a name for itself with its mission to amplify diverse voices and unique stories, particularly from Black British talent. Olujinmi, a former development producer at Eleventh Hour, launched the company to create “light on a hill” content aimed at global audiences. Since its inception, Hill 5.14 has attracted top-tier writers like Phoebe Okeowo (The Power) and Bella Heesom (Sex Education) and collaborated with celebrated actors such as Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You) and Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton), the latter also hosting the company’s podcast Discover Me.
“I’m beyond thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Eleventh Hour for the next phase of Hill 5.14’s journey,” said Olujinmi. “Their collective expertise and reputation in delivering exceptional drama will help propel Hill 5.14 into becoming a global hub for diverse stories. This collaboration is a dream team, and I’m excited about the extraordinary content we’ll create together.”

She’s a natural force, and we knew immediately that Hill 5.14 would bring something fresh and exciting to the industry.”
Matthew Justice, Executive Vice President of SPT U.K. and Europe, highlighted the significance of the deal: “At Sony, we are passionate about telling stories that resonate across cultures and connect with audiences worldwide. Hill 5.14 has quickly become a home for extraordinary talent, and we’re eager to see how this collaboration unfolds.”
The partnership signals a bright future for Hill 5.14 Media as it continues to champion underrepresented voices and bring groundbreaking stories to the forefront of global entertainment.
