Cue & Coda Films, in association with Lucky Johnson Studios, is set to release its much-anticipated new film, ‘Twisted Hearts,’ on May 31, 2024. Written by the talented Taylor L. Love and directed by the acclaimed Michael “Boogie” Pinckney, this romantic dramedy promises to captivate viewers with its unique blend of humor and heartfelt emotion.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Cocoa Brown, known for her roles in ‘The Single Moms Club’ and ‘9-1-1,’ and Jay Reeves, star of ‘Safety’ and ‘All American.’ They are joined by Leland B. Martin from ‘Boomerang’ and ‘Sworn Justice,’ Adrian Lockett of ‘Bid for Love’ and ‘Sistas,’ and Emelina Adams, who recently appeared in ‘Bullet Train’ and ‘Back on the Strip.’ Rising stars Lauren Ashley White and Mashayla Barnes complete the ensemble.

“Twisted Hearts” invites viewers into the tumultuous yet transformative world of three struggling couples as they venture to a couples retreat in a bid to mend the fault lines in their relationships in this thought-provoking romantic dramedy. Confronted with the intricacies of sexuality, the weight of societal judgments on interracial love, and the scars left by past betrayals, each couple courageously tackles these obstacles headfirst. Little do they anticipate the unconventional twist awaiting them at the retreat – a weekend mandate to swap partners, a choice that may unearth newfound layers of self-discovery and even unanticipated affections. Amidst moments of uproarious laughter and poignant emotional depths, the film delicately portrays the myriad hues of relationships, imparting poignant lessons on self-value to every character involved.
