This deal comes one year after Perry sealed a four-project agreement with Amazon Studios under a non-exclusive arrangement. Established in 2022, this partnership includes Perry’s roles as a writer, director, and producer for four films released on Prime Video. Among these films are “Black, White, and Blue” and “Divorce in the Black.” Additionally, Amazon is gearing up for the release of a documentary titled “Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story,” which delves into the life and career of this Hollywood titan.

Outside of Prime and Netflix, Perry continues his longstanding partnership with Paramount, contributing to popular BET series such as “The Oval,” “Assisted Living,” “Sistas,” “Bruh,” and “Zatima.” With BET, there were discussions about Perry potentially acquiring a majority stake in BET when Paramount Global considered selling the label, however Paramount has since rescinded the offer.
