Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for Unstoppable, the inspiring wrestling biopic that follows the journey of Anthony Robles, portrayed by Emmy winner Jharrel Jerome. Based on Robles’ memoir, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion, the film dives deep into the remarkable story of Robles, a young wrestler born without a right leg who defies the odds to achieve NCAA Division I success.

The trailer features a powerful line from Jerome’s portrayal of Robles: “When people look at me, the first thing they see is what’s missing. If I win, having one leg won’t be the most important thing about me.” It sets the tone for a story that’s more than a sports drama—it’s a testament to resilience, determination, and the human spirit. Directed by Oscar-winning editor William Goldenberg in his directorial debut, the film also stars Jennifer Lopez, Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, and Michael Peña. Unstoppable is set for a limited theatrical release on December 6 and on Prime Video January 16th, watch the trailer below.
The project is Amazon MGM’s second collaboration with Artists Equity, the production company led by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The pair’s previous project, Air, grossed $90 million globally before hitting Prime Video last year.
Jerome’s portrayal of Robles is described as physically demanding, as he trained intensively with Robles himself, who also appears in the film as ‘Anthony Robles Double’ during wrestling scenes. Robles is credited as a producer, lending authenticity to the portrayal of his childhood struggles, moments of abuse, and pursuit of a national wrestling championship against Iowa, the powerhouse program that once rejected him.
Produced by a team including Affleck, Damon, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas of Nuyorican Productions, David Crockett, Andy Fraser, Gary Lewis, and Robles, Unstoppable is set for a limited theatrical release on December 6 and on Prime Video January 16th.
Blending raw emotion with the high-stakes intensity of collegiate wrestling, Unstoppable aims to inspire audiences with Robles’ story of overcoming adversity and redefining success.
