HBO has officially dropped the trailer for The White Lotus season three, and it’s taking us to a luxury resort in Thailand for another dose of opulence, scandal, and sharp social satire. The Emmy-winning anthology series returns on February 16, 2025, taking viewers to an exclusive resort in Thailand where the rich and entitled are once again behaving badly (with stunning views, of course).
Natasha Rothwell reprises her fan-favorite role as Belinda Lindsey, the spa manager from season one, and is the only returning cast member anchoring a new wave of drama.
Joining her are Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger with BLACKPINK’s Lisa (Lalisa Manobal) makes her first appearance as an actor, playing a member of the hotel staff. The show’s signature mix of flawed characters and biting humor looks ready to explore new cultural and spiritual territory, with creator Mike White teasing themes of death and Eastern spirituality this season.
The trailer opens with promises of transformation, as one staff member declares, “Our hotel is the best in the world. At the end of the week, you’ll be an entirely different person.” But beneath the glamorous veneer, cracks in paradise quickly appear. “Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure, but they get there only to find more pain,” warns a haunting voiceover, setting the tone for another unpredictable and indulgent ride.
Bibb, Coon, and Monaghan portray lifelong friends reconnecting on a girls’ trip, while Goggins plays a rugged man navigating his own complications. Jason Isaacs and Parker Posey lead a family of guests caught in their own web of privilege, and Lisa’s character, Mook, offers a glimpse into the resort’s inner workings.
Mike White describes the season as a “supersized White Lotus,” promising bigger, crazier storylines that dive into the human condition with humor and sharp critique. Following seasons that explored wealth, privilege, relationships, and sex, this new chapter is poised to tackle the existential with a dose of hilarity.
The first two seasons of The White Lotus were critically acclaimed, racking up Emmy wins and delivering unforgettable performances. With a new location, a fresh ensemble cast, and the same biting wit, season three looks set to continue the show’s legacy of captivating storytelling.
The White Lotus season three premieres on February 16 at 9 p.m. on HBO and will stream on Max. Watch the trailer below to get your first look at the drama, indulgence, and breathtaking landscapes awaiting in Thailand.
