Written, directed, and led by Mario Van Peebles, the film also includes his son Mandela along with John Carroll Lynch and Allen Payne.
The story is set in the rugged Wild West of 1908, a time when those in power exploit an unfair and corrupt world. Renegade cowboy Chief, portrayed by Mario Van Peebles, takes it upon himself to restore balance. He assembles a fearless group of outcasts and embarks on a daring cross-country journey to recover stolen gold in a lawless and untamed territory.
Their pursuit is relentless, with the vengeful lawman Angel, played by William Mapother, hot on their heels. What follows is a high-stakes game of survival and redemption, filled with intense gunfights, dramatic showdowns, and thrilling horse chases. Along the way, they find crucial allies like Stagecoach Mary, portrayed by Whoopi Goldberg, who play a pivotal role in shaping their destiny. As they inch closer to the hidden treasure, the group comes to understand that, in this unforgiving land, survival is the only form of justice.
The ensemble cast also includes M. Emmet Walsh, D.C. Young Fly, Amber Reign Smith, Cam Gigandez, Jake Manley, Joseph Culp, Brian Presley, and Sean Bridgers.
