We’re now only a few days away from the season 3 premiere of Will Trent, and ABC and Hulu have just dropped the full trailer with “Ante Up” playing through out that adds additional excitement for the return of the hit crime drama. The trailer offers an intense glimpse into what’s ahead, including Amanda Wagner (Sonja Sohn) confronting Will Trent (Ramón Rodriguez) about his disappearance in the season 2 finale. Amanda urgently needs his help after two cops are targeted, but Will, still reeling from past events, initially refuses. However, when she reveals that a member of the Piedmont Kings will only speak to him, Will reluctantly steps back into action.
Since its debut two years ago, Will Trent has become a fan favorite, earning praise for its gripping storytelling and complex characters. The series, based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling novels, follows Special Agent Will Trent, who rose above a tough childhood in Atlanta’s foster care system to become the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s top agent. His unrelenting pursuit of justice drives the show, which has consistently delivered high-stakes drama and emotional depth.
The new season sees the return of Ramón Rodriguez as Will Trent, Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, and Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, and Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood.
The trailer also teases the arrival of new characters, including Gina Rodriguez as Assistant District Attorney Marion Alba. Her sharp wit and confidence spark early tension with Will as they navigate a gang-related case, hinting at a potential dynamic that could shift the show’s landscape. Additionally, reality star Ariana Madix (Vanderpump Rules) and Scott Foley (Scandal) are set to guest star this season, with Foley portraying Dr. Seth McDale, a potential love interest for Angie.
With the stakes higher than ever, Will Trent season 3 is set to deliver the intense drama, emotional complexity, and unexpected twists that have become its hallmark.
